Traditional Thai Yoga Massage

Thai Massage is my favourite treatment — both to give and to receive, the combination of deep compression massage, the joint mobilisations and supported stretches leave you feeling lighter, looser, and more at home in your body

I often have the same conversation with people. I’ll suggest that Thai massage would be really good for them and worth trying for their next appointment. They smile and say, ‘No, I love my usual treatment — I’ll stick with that.’ Then, several sessions later, they finally give it a go… and without fail I hear, ‘I love this so much, it’s perfect for me — why didn’t you make me try it sooner

Of all the treatments I offer, traditional Thai yoga massage is my clear favourite — both to give and to receive. Every treatment has its own benefits, but Thai massage consistently does more for the body in a single session than anything else I’ve encountered.

Thai massage works on many levels. Thumb pressure follows the body’s energy lines, helping to clear stagnation and support healthy blood and energy flow. I use elbows, knees, and feet just as much as my hands — warming, softening, and releasing the muscles with steady, grounded pressure. Gentle passive stretches then lengthen and realign the whole body, creating space, ease, and a deep sense of balance.

Thai massage recognises that all body systems are connected and rely on each other. By encouraging healthy blood flow and clearing energetic stagnation, the body receives the nourishment it needs to heal and function well. It is a truly holistic treatment, which is why it is always offered as a full‑body massage. While it can be done in an hour, it works best as a longer session — 90 minutes or 2 hours — giving enough time to work through all areas of tension with depth and care

Thai massage offers a wide range of benefits, especially for anyone dealing with tension, pain, or restricted movement. By combining rhythmic pressure with gentle stretching, it helps rebalance the body, ease deep muscular tightness, and restore natural mobility. Many clients notice reduced pain, improved posture, and a sense of lightness and alignment that lasts long after the session ends.

As the name suggests, Thai yoga massage is a yoga‑based treatment. It’s carried out on a futon on the floor and incorporates a wide range of passive yoga stretches alongside compression massage and joint mobilisations. But please don’t take this to mean you need to be flexible to enjoy it. Just like regular yoga, Thai massage may gently improve your flexibility over time — but it can be adapted to every body, every ability, and every level of movement.

Thai yoga massage is a fully clothed treatment with no oils involved. For your comfort, please wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows you to move and stretch easily. Leggings, joggers, or soft trousers are ideal. Please note that jeans and skirts are not suitable for this treatment

When I first trained in Thai massage, I realised I couldn’t offer this incredible treatment to pregnant clients — and many were disappointed when they had to pause something they loved. So I went on to complete the Well Mother Pregnancy Massage Diploma, giving me the skills to adapt Thai massage safely and effectively throughout pregnancy. This modified approach supports relaxation, mobility, and comfort during each stage of pregnancy, and it’s also a wonderful way to aid recovery after childbirth.

If you’re ready to feel more balanced, the first step is simply getting booked in. If you’re unsure what your body needs, just send me a message — I’m always happy to guide you.
