About me

I’m Kerry, the Barefoot Therapist — working from a quiet, grounded space in Wexford where people come to unwind, reset and rebalance. My treatments draw on Thai massage, Body Massage, Clinical acupuncture and Traditional East Asian Therapies, Deeply effective bodywork aiming to reduce stress, manage pain and improve mobility. My approach is warm, practical and down‑to‑earth — treatments that meet you where you are and support real, steady change.

Kerry Longworth, ARCHTI

I began my training in holistic therapies in Manchester over 25 years ago, and I’ve been working hands‑on ever since — treating clients, studying new approaches, and teaching others the skills I’ve learned along the way. Training, treatments and teaching have always felt like three parts of the same path for me, and I still love all of them.

In 2021 my husband and I moved from Urmston to Bannow, Wexford to find a better balance — more space, more sea, more family, and a slower pace that supports the kind of work I do. That move has shaped my practice in ways I didn’t expect; everything feels more grounded here.

The treatments I offer are a blend of the skills I’ve developed over the last 25 years — Thai massage, massage, clinical acupuncture, gua sha, cupping and abdominal work — all focused on improving flow, balance and overall wellbeing. My work is deep, steady and intentional, but never forceful. I don’t push through pain or chase intensity for the sake of it; I work with the body, not against it, so the changes we make actually hold.

A session with me is unhurried and collaborative. We start with a simple check‑in so I can understand what’s going on in your body that day, and then we work steadily into the deeper layers without rushing or forcing anything. The treatment itself is strong, focused and hands‑on, but always within what your body can work with. Most people leave feeling clearer, looser and more grounded, with a sense that something has genuinely shifted.

My aim is always to create a calm, safe space where your body can soften, unwind and reset. Whether you need deep work, gentle work, or something in between, we’ll shape the session around what your body needs on the day.

If you’d like to know more about how I work or which treatment might suit you, you’re always welcome to get in touch.

It’s always wise to make sure a therapist has the right training to support your needs. If you’d like to see my certificates and training journey, you can click here.
