Body Massage

Massage is a treatment which uses relaxing massage techniques to ease muscle tension and restore balance.  I use a combination of techniques from the wide range of treatments I have each trained in over the years. This includes elements from – Swedish massage, Thai massage, Korean meridian massage and my own personal style to create a relaxing, individual deep tissue massage style which can be tailored to meet your needs.

Adding heat to your treatment can add another level of relaxation to your treatment, especially in the winter. My massage table is heated, and if requested at the time of booking, hot stones can be included in your treatment for extra soothing warmth integrated in to your massage, either by massaging with the stones in our hands or placing them on tight areas (over a towel) to warm and relax your muscles. This allows me to work deeper and increases the relaxation in your treatment, at the same time this treatment is great for encouraging circulation lymphatic drainage.

A full body massage traditionally include legs, feet, back, neck, shoulders, stomach, arms, hands, face and scalp.

The term “holistic” means that a treatment looks at the whole of your body, understanding that all of your systems work together in a finely tuned balancing act, once one part is out of balance, no matter how small, this will have an effect on the rest of your body, sometimes causing stress and tension where you didn’t even realise where you have it.

A full body massage is a great way to make sure that your body is working in a balanced way. While regular treatments are a fantastic way for many folks to keep on top of their imbalances, reduce stress levels and more easily deal with what life throws at you, Consider that a longer (2 or 3 hour) massage will allow for deeper relaxation, it gives you time to really let go and me time to really work on all of your knots and tension, I do feel often that a 3 hour treatment once a month or every 6 weeks is more beneficial than an hour or 90 mins once a week.

I generally suggest that 60 mins is a good time for a back neck and shoulder massage, 90 mins or longer is better for a full body massage.

Booking longer (2 or 3 hour) treatments online is possible, but it is recommended to contact me directly for such appointments as they require more consideration and may need to be rescheduled if necessary.
