“You can call it the art of fighting without fighting.”
A famous Bruce Lee quote from the Enter the Dragon Film (1973)
We all have different ideas on what constitutes self-defence. Some people want to deal with an aggressor in a way to deliver back some of their own medicine.
However, this can often result in a ‘fight’ of some sort, which is likely to lead to escalation and can often end badly for either or both parties.
Most of us would prefer to manage and walk away from an aggressive situation, with minimal conflict and doing ‘no harm’. This may not always be possible – but it should always be our aim.
This doesn’t mean that we should be passive or give in to an aggressor.
At Bannow Fitness and Health with Self-Defence we train our body and mind to manage and take control of situations, and particularly ourselves. We need to deal with conflict on our terms, not the aggressors.
The implications of aggression can be very different for men and women and for different age groups. However, the path to self-improvement and ability to manage and control situations is the same.
Why not come and see for yourselves?
Our classes are inclusive, and suitable for all ages (14+) and all levels of fitness and ability.
